Why is this the best electric knife out there? It has a looped handle which allows the hand to have a better grasp on the knife and promotes better slicing control. I have tried electric knives which have "poles" as handles and when I carve a roast I cannot control the blades; the knife is then doing the cutting where it wants - not me. But the Toastmaster Knife has that great handle which provides control and it's less likely to drop out of your hand. I knew I wanted this knife before I purchased it because my mother-in-law had it and she had the "pole" handle and I knew from experience that I wanted this style of Toastmaster.
